Lawrie Stove

Lawrie Stove is the founder of AquaMoor Limited, a company focused on developing innovative mooring technologies for niche applications. Lawrie has been in the marine industry since 1990 after graduating from University College, London with a BSc (Hons) degree in Geography. He has 15 years’ technical and commercial experience in product development of anchoring systems and anchor design and has worked for two leading Scottish salmon farming companies. He has international sales & marketing experience in Europe, USA, Asia and China. Lawrie is a Member of the Scottish Technical Standard Steering Group that delivered Marine Scotland's “Technical Standard for Scottish Finfish Aquaculture” in June 2015. His current interest is in developing innovative mooring systems that will significantly reduce the environmental footprint of aquaculture sites and will enable aquaculture companies to increase production by expanding into more exposed, offshore locations.



David Campbell

David Campbell is responsible for financial control, governance, quality management systems, risk management and consenting and contributes to the strategic development of the company, having engaged with the business during 2017.He brings to the business over ten years ’experience from the renewables and low carbon sector with the last seven years focused on wave energy as Chief Financial Officer and Commercial Director at wave energy company Albatern. 

In this role he has spent the last 5 years engaging with the aquaculture sector and understanding its power requirements that can be met by off-grid wave power, and other ways that value can be provided in the sector including on site production of desalinated water for sea lice treatments. 

Since 2013, David has visited aquaculture markets in Chile, Canada, Norway, Japan, Spain, New Zealand and South East Asia to assess suitability of wave climates, gain knowledge of the site development plans of the major operators and understand market readiness for renewable wave energy application. He has also spoken at a number of offshore aquaculture industry conferences and has developed a network of contacts in the sector in Scotland and overseas. 

Previously, David served as Chief Financial Officer of AG Holdings, an AIM listed battery pack
manufacturing group producing batteries for cordless power tools and electric vehicles, and
has also chaired a number of business angel backed technology start up companies representing investors. 

David also draws on an earlier career as financial director and controller of a number of
technology companies, including start ups, following an early career with a Big 4 accounting
firm where he managed UK audit practice training and worked as a computer auditor. David
holds a law degree and is a Chartered Accountant.
